Located 210 meters upstream from the Licun River estuary, the project has a designed flood verification standard of 100-year recurrence interval, with a maximum discharge capacity of 1,290 m³/s, classified as a Large (Type 2) scale project.
The main construction contents consist of two parts: the main sluice structure and the management area on the right bank floodplain. The main structure includes: upstream bottom protection and blanket, gate chamber, downstream stilling basin apron, energy dissipation apron, riprap anti-scour trench, various side walls (piers), maintenance bridge and access bridge.
